Main Functions of the Department:
- identification, differentiated accounting, comprehensive assessment of the need of disabled persons for social rehabilitation and habilitation in accordance with individual rehabilitation and habilitation programs for disabled persons;
- assistance in social, domestic, labor, and psychological rehabilitation of disabled persons;
- assistance to disabled persons in restoring (compensating) impaired or lost self-care skills and in preparing them for independent living;
- development and maintenance of behavioral skills, self-control, communication, and the use of technical means of social rehabilitation in disabled persons;
- assistance in employment of persons with disabilities;
- organization of leisure and communication, development of creative potential of persons with disabilities through the organization of clubs and interest groups, rehabilitation and labor workshops;
- organization of cultural and mass events, sports and mass events;
- carrying out work with persons with disabilities in accordance with medical prescriptions for occupational therapy;
- provision of personal assistant services to persons with disabilities.
To conclude an agreement for the provision of social services in the semi-stationary social service format at the department for social rehabilitation and habilitation of persons with disabilities, citizens must submit the following documents:
- application (established form);
- identity document;
- document of established sample on the right to benefits (disability certificate);
- medical certificate of health status, containing information on the presence of medical indications and (or) absence of medical contraindications for the provision of services in the semi-stationary service format (established form);
- supporting documents from the center for correctional and developmental education and rehabilitation (for graduates of the said center).
