Dialogue platform «On the moral and spiritual»

By the blessing of Archpriest Viktor Vabishchevich, dean of the Miory district, a dialogue platform "On Morality and Spirituality" was held at the social rehabilitation and habilitation department for disabled people of the State Institution "Territorial Center for Social Services of the Population of the Miory District". The event was dedicated to the memory of the first rector of the Church of the Deposition of the Robe of the Most Holy Theotokos in Blachernae in Miory, Mitred Archpriest Nikolai Rundo.

Deacon Dionysiy Lavrinovich, a cleric of the Church of the Deposition of the Robe of the Most Holy Theotokos in Blachernae in Miory, told the members of the "Alphabet of Spirituality" club about the life path of Father Nikolai, which began on February 1, 1922. He spoke about Nikolai Rundo's heroic participation in the partisan movement, his life in Crimea, and his constant service to God. He also offered a video clip, filmed during the priest's lifetime, for viewing.

Aleksandr Rynkevich, leader of the Orthodox youth movement "Ladanka", presented an exhibition of personal belongings and photographs belonging to the priest: a prayer book, a mitre, a kamilavka, a cassock, a prosphora stamp, prayers that he reread himself, a "Moskva-5" camera, a military ID, and a Soviet-era Belarusian passport.

Facts from the biography of Archpriest Nikolai Rundo concerning the Miory region were announced by Tatyana Shulga, a social work specialist at the State Institution "Territorial Center for Social Services of the Population of the Miory District".

The motto of the meeting was Father Nikolai's wise words, which he consistently followed in his life and taught his parishioners: "Work as if your life will have no end, and when you pray, pray as if you will not see the dawn."
