With faith in Christ and gratitude to the temple servants...

      For Orthodox believers, December is a time of the Nativity Fast, mercy, virtue, and charity. It is symbolic that it is precisely on December 3rd that the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (the needy) is proclaimed worldwide, those who have been under God's special protection since ancient times. On this day, in many countries, the state, the public, the clergy, and all concerned respond to the problems of people with disabilities.

       By a kind tradition, existing since 2014, Archpriest Viktor Vabishchevich held a prayer service for health at the Church of the Deposition of the Robe of the Most Holy Theotokos in Vlacherne, Miory. The service was attended by wards of the social rehabilitation and habilitation department for disabled persons of the state institution "Territorial Center for Social Services for the Population of Miory District," as well as members of the Public Association "Belarusian Association of Disabled Persons" and members of the Public Association "Belarusian Society of the Visually Impaired."
       Father Viktor addressed the attendees with a sermon, urged them to visit the church more often, to live in peace and harmony with themselves and others, and to sincerely pray to the Lord, the Most Holy Theotokos, and the healer Panteleimon. At the icon "The Presentation of the Most Holy Theotokos," he told the story of the origin of this Orthodox holiday.
      The hearts of the parishioners were filled with faith in Christ and gratitude to the church ministers on this day.
