The "On the Battle Glory Sites" cycling event brought together students from Secondary School No. 2 named after N. Izvarin, Secondary School No. 3 named after Hero of the Soviet Union E. Tomko, representatives of work collectives, and the district's working youth.
The participants of the bike ride were welcomed by the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Alexander Zhuk. He noted that it is our sacred duty not to forget the price of the Great Victory and to honor the places and burials with respect.
Tour guide Ekaterina Rachitskaya told the story of significant monuments, hero soldiers, and Afghan warriors who fought for peace in our city.
The memory of the fallen was honored with a moment of silence.
The First Secretary of the District Committee of the BRYU, Lyudmila Vorona, thanked the participants for their unity and interest in their native region.
The bike ride concluded with a photo session and a performance of the song as part of the "Let's Sing Katyusha Together" campaign.
