"Only Memory is Imperishable" Rally-Requiem, dedicated to the International Day of Commemoration of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide, Honouring their Dignity and Preventing this Crime
Rally participants gathered at grave No. 5708 in the town of Miory, where Jews shot by punitive forces on June 2, 1942, are buried.
The district administration, representatives of labor collectives, members of the District Youth Chamber, and students of the military-patriotic class of Secondary School No. 2 named after N.G. Izvarin honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the foot of the burial site. At the burial site of civilians in the town of Disna, students of the Disna Secondary School named after Hero of the Soviet Union M.A. Kuzmin took part in the memorial rally. The International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide became an important event for all present, uniting generations in their desire to preserve the memory of the tragic events of the past.
