Holiday events dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus were held in the Miory district
Representatives of labor collectives and law enforcement agencies, public associations, and students of Miory city schools gathered at the Square of Memory of Fallen Fighters for a solemn rally dedicated to Fatherland Defenders Day.
In connection with the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, Valery Drabo, presented Certificates of Honor and Gratitude to veterans of the Armed Forces and employees of organizations for their initiative during combat readiness training conducted in the Miory district.
Participants of the event laid flowers and wreaths at the foot of the mass grave and the "Black Tulip" memorial obelisk, and the memorial sign in honor of the Miory liberators from the Nazi invaders.
Following tradition, students and working youth paid tribute to the famous countryman at the memorial sign of the Hero of the Soviet Union Egor Andreevich Tomko.
