Events
Republican campaign "Apple Orchard" in Miory
The orchard, planted several years ago on the territory of the district hospital, is growing and strengthening. Today it has been replenished with new trees!
Representatives of the district organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union" joined the campaign.
It is symbolic that this good deed is taking place in the Year of Belarusian Women and on Labor Day. The women came not alone, but with their families and children, setting a personal example of what it means to be a creator.
"We are planting an apple orchard as a symbol of fertility, femininity, family, and peace. Through their creative work, women make a significant contribution to the development of their native land and the entire country," shared the chairperson of the district organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union," Oksana Ashurko.

Representatives of the Miory District Organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union" took part in a meeting with the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Natalya Ivanovna Kochanova
A meeting of the aktiv of the Belarusian Women's Union of the Vitebsk region with the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Natalya Kochanova, was held in the city of Novopolotsk. More than 600 representatives of the union met and discussed the strategic development of the country, important political events that will take place in 2024-2025, as well as other pressing issues.

As part of Parental Love Week, the chairperson of the district organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union," Oksana Ashurko, and the head of the registry office of the district executive committee, Irina Yukhno, congratulated Alexander and Marina Matelenok on the birth of their baby. Representatives of the Miory district presented a commemorative gift and the baby's first document – the birth certificate.

An adorable baby was born in the maternity ward of the district hospital on Children's Day.
Representatives of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union" went to congratulate the young mother, Yulia Lednik.
The chairperson of the district organization, Oksana Ashurko, congratulated the mother on the birth of her son and presented a commemorative gift.
A native of the Miory district, Yulia Lednik lives with her husband and elder son in Glubokoye. She chose the Miory maternity hospital because her parents live there and she had heard many positive reviews from friends and acquaintances.
Laureates of the honorary title "Woman of the Year of Miory Region" honored in Miory
Every year, according to tradition, on the eve of the holiday – Women's Day – the district center honors the laureates of the honorary title "Woman of the Year of Miory Region."
The competition is held on the initiative of the district organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union."
On March 7, a festive meeting was held at the Center of Culture and Folk Art.
In 2023, the honorary title "Woman of the Year of Miory Region" was awarded to:
Stankevich Lyudmila Vladimirovna, head of the dairy farm "Tsvetino" of SUP "Titovo";
Fedorets Alla Gennadievna, head of the department of social adaptation and rehabilitation of the State Institution "Territorial Center for Social Services of the Miory District";
Demyanova Marina Kazimirovna, director of the exemplary avant-garde fashion theater of the department for work with children of the State Cultural Institution "Miory Center of Culture and Folk Art";
Sukhovskaya Yulia Vladimirovna, saleswoman of the "Kolosok" store in the village of Novy Pogost, a branch of the Polotsk bakery of OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom"; Levitskaya Natalya Fyodorovna, chief accountant of the Miory department of the Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
A real gift for the women of the region was the festive concert "We wish you happiness!", prepared by performers and ensembles of the Center of Culture and Folk Art and the Children's Art School.
On March 6, representatives of the district organization "Belarusian Women's Union," together with the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) and schoolchildren, visited female concentration camp prisoners, the family of a soldier who died during the Great Patriotic War, and mothers of soldiers-internationalists who died in the line of duty in Afghanistan, to congratulate them on Women's Day. They presented congratulations from the leadership of the Miory district, flowers, and gifts from the BWU and BRSM.

On January 25, the reporting and election conference of the district organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union" was held, at which the results of the work were summarized, the new composition of the women's council was approved, and directions for further activities were discussed.
Oksana Ashurko was elected chairperson of the district organization.
The meeting was attended by the chairperson of the district Council of Deputies, Valery Drabo. He noted the special role of women in the development of the state, society, and the institution of the family.
Members of the district organization actively participate in election campaigns. They are constantly engaged in patriotic education of youth and society. They take an active part in district celebrations, rallies, motor rallies, and labor campaigns.
On Mother's Day, October 14, a ceremony was held at the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Miory District to honor women of the district awarded the Order of Mother, recipients of the Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchuk prize, and those raising foster children.
A festive concert "All the Colors of Life for You" was held at the Center of Culture and Folk Art.
5 representatives of the Miory district were awarded the title "Woman of the Year of Miory Region"
On the eve of Women's Day, laureates of the honorary title "Woman of the Year of Miory Region" were honored at the Miory Center of Culture and Folk Art. Upon the recommendation of the district organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Women's Union," five of the most active and dedicated women of the district, who achieved success in various fields in 2021, were awarded the honorary title.
During the festive event dedicated to Women's Day, the Order of Mother was presented to Rodionova Inna Nikolaevna, an employee of the Miory production of Polotsk Bakery OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom."
