The Republic of Belarus is a party to the UN Convention against Corruption. By the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Ratification of the United Nations Convention against Corruption", the Prosecutor General's Office is designated as the body coordinating its implementation.

In accordance with Article 13 of the said Convention, each State Party shall take appropriate measures to promote the active participation of individuals and groups outside the public sector in the prevention of and the fight against corruption, to deepen the understanding of society of the existence, causes and grave nature of corruption and the threats it poses.

In order to organize constructive international cooperation, create an atmosphere of intolerance towards corruption and take joint effective measures to combat this negative social phenomenon, Belarus, along with Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, takes an active part in the activities of the Interstate Council for Combating Corruption, a sectoral cooperation body of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The members of the Council have decided to hold the International Youth Competition of Social Anti-Corruption Advertising "Together Against Corruption!", which is open to participants from any country.
