Today, the State Automobile Inspectorate is holding a Unified Road Safety Day across the country under the slogan “Winter tires are the key to safety!”

Until the end of November, traffic police officers are focused on informing drivers about the need for seasonal tire changes. And from December 1 to 5, as part of the republican preventive campaign "Winter - an Exam for the Driver!", the timely preparation of vehicles for operation at low temperatures will be monitored.

When participating in road traffic from the first day of calendar winter, vehicles must be equipped with winter tires on all wheels, with the same tread pattern on one axle. Violation of this requirement, as well as the use of worn tires, entails liability in the form of a fine of up to 1 base unit; for repeated violation within a year - from 2 to 5 base units.

It is necessary not only to change tires but also to fully prepare the vehicle for the frosty season. Check the condition of the cooling system, the operability of the brakes, steering, and external lighting devices, and ensure the reliability of the battery. For good
