On May 18, the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Vitebsk region will conduct a set of preventive measures aimed at preventing road traffic accidents.

The State Automobile Inspectorate of the Vitebsk region will hold a set of preventive measures on May 18, aimed at preventing road traffic accidents involving cyclists and persons using personal mobility devices.

Since the beginning of the year, 14 road traffic accidents involving minors have been registered in the Vitebsk region. Thus, in 14 road traffic accidents, 7 child pedestrians, 5 child passengers, 2 child cyclists, and 1 child driver were injured.

During the event, the traffic police will strengthen control over the movement of cyclists, pedestrians, and persons using personal mobility devices on patrol routes.

The traffic police reminds: personal mobility devices include electric scooters, self-balancing scooters, electric unicycles, segways, and other similar devices.

It is necessary to move on them along the bicycle path, and in its absence – along the sidewalk, pedestrian path, or roadside at a speed not exceeding 25 km/h. At the same time, it is forbidden to create obstacles for pedestrian traffic. Be attentive on the roads and follow the traffic rules!
