«A Home Without Violence!»
From April 8 to 17, 2024, Belarus will host the republican preventive campaign “A Home Without Violence!”, aimed at taking preventive measures against individuals who commit domestic violence.
During these days, employees of the Miory District Department of Internal Affairs will continue their work to resolve issues related to domestic violence. Qualified assistance will be provided to victims with the involvement of representatives from healthcare institutions, territorial centers for labor, employment, and social protection, and organizations involved in housing stock operation and utility services. Law enforcement officers will explain to residents of the Miory district the provisions of legislation on the prevention of domestic violence. Unemployed individuals who have committed domestic violence and are victims of it will be assisted in finding employment. It is planned to maximally "reach out" to citizens who have been brought to administrative responsibility 2 or more times while intoxicated, including for domestic violence, in order to provide narcological assistance.
Citizens residing in our district can provide significant assistance in this work. To prevent and avert the tragic consequences of family conflicts is the civic and human duty of everyone. Therefore, labor collectives, the public, relatives, and everyone who becomes aware of unruly troublemakers and dysfunctional families should not remain indifferent. Timely intervention or informing law enforcement agencies can save someone's life and health.
The Miory District Department of Internal Affairs draws attention to the following: if you become a victim or witness of violence, immediately seek help by calling the domestic violence victims' hotline at 5-27-44 (anonymously and around the clock) or the duty officer's numbers at the Miory District Department of Internal Affairs: 102 or 597-00-66.
