On holding events during the 2023 sowing campaign

In accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus dated 01.03.2023, preventive measures are being carried out on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, including the territory of the Miory district, during the 2023 sowing campaign. These measures are aimed at preventing criminal encroachments on the tangible assets of agricultural organizations, identifying instances of mismanagement and inaction of officials responsible for carrying out the specified work, including those related to the improper technical condition of agricultural machinery.

In addition, we would like to draw the attention of officials of agricultural organizations to taking measures to ensure the safety of agricultural machinery used at night in field conditions and to eliminate instances of leaving it in the yards of private houses, as this contributes to the commission of theft of fuel and lubricants and equipment.

Concurrently, the Miory District Department of Internal Affairs informs:

Article 11.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus (petty theft) provides for punishment in the form of a fine from 2 to 30 basic units, or community service, or administrative arrest. In addition, the court recovers the amount of material damage caused and the harm caused (damage to property, equipment, downtime of working time), i.e., the amounts recovered by the court are many times higher than the profit obtained from the theft.

Article 13.23, Part 3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus (illegal circulation of petroleum liquid fuel in the Republic of Belarus) – acquisition, storage, use or sale by individuals of colored petroleum liquid fuel supplied in the prescribed manner to organizations performing work related to the production of agricultural products – entails a fine in the amount of ten to fifty basic units.

Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (theft), depending on the amount of damage caused, provides for imprisonment for up to 3 years, restriction of liberty for the same period, a fine, community service, arrest, correctional labor for up to two years.
