On Easter, don't forget about safety rules!

Kulichi will be an integral part of the Easter celebrations, which will be carefully baked in every home on the eve, and thousands of candles will be lit on this joyous holiday. To ensure that the bright day is not overshadowed by emergencies, observe safety precautions!

When preparing food and using gas and electric appliances, strictly follow their operating rules.

Do not forget about the danger of lit candles; they should be kept away from clothing and flammable objects. Also, do not leave lit candles unattended.

On Easter, a large number of people gather in churches. At the venues for Easter services, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be on duty to ensure fire safety. But every parishioner should also remember:

• when lighting candles from candlesticks, you should tuck in long sleeves;
• hold a piece of paper or a handkerchief under the candle so that hot wax does not get on your skin, and you do not instinctively jerk your hand and drop the burning candle on your clothes;
• tie your headscarves tightly and tuck away your hair, reducing the risk of candle flame getting on them when you bend your head;
• watch children;
• try to maintain a safe distance from other parishioners so that the flame from a neighboring candle does not catch on you;
• in case of clothing catching fire, quickly take it off, try to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher or cover it with a dense material;
• study the layout of the church building to know the evacuation routes, of which there must be several, and all exit doors must be open;
• in case of a fire alarm activation and notification, do not panic, leave the hall quickly, but without creating panic or a stampede.

In case of fire, call 101 or 112 immediately.
