March 1 – World Civil Defence Day
From February 23 to 27, 2026, a series of events dedicated to the World Civil Defense Day will be held in the Miory district.
The aim of the event is to foster a culture of life safety, and to increase the level of public awareness (of organization personnel) about natural and man-made emergencies.
A thematic lesson dedicated to the World Civil Defense Day will be held at all educational institutions. During the lesson, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will inform children about the correct actions upon the "Attention All!" signal, about the dangers present in the district, and about methods of population protection (evacuation (temporary resettlement), civil defense structures), and will also teach them how to behave in various emergency situations.
At enterprises and organizations, presentations will be held in work collectives with information about the goals and objectives of civil defense, as well as about high-risk facilities in the Republic of Belarus (district, region), and the procedure for actions upon receiving the "Attention All!" signal. During the drills, actions will be practiced (if available) for notifying the population (organization personnel), including the activation of electric siren equipment, inspection of the readiness of civil defense formations, as well as training the population (organization personnel) on behavior in emergency situations, actions upon civil defense alert signals, and first aid skills.
