«Thin ice» in Miory region

From January 3 to 10, 2026, a special preventive event "Thin Ice" will be held in the Miory district, aimed at preventing deaths on water bodies during the winter period. During these days, rescuers, together with representatives of the ОСВОД (All-Union Voluntary Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked Persons) and internal affairs officers, will conduct preventive raids on water bodies.

The purpose of this event is to remind citizens about ice safety rules. In addition, as part of the campaign, performances are planned in work collectives and educational institutions.

Ministry of Emergency Situations employees urge all residents of the district to be attentive and cautious when near water bodies during the winter period.
