Safe New Year

December is a time of special work for rescuer-firefighters, as to "winter" fires due to stove heating and electrical equipment, calls for emergencies related to the use of pyrotechnics are added, as well as fire incidents due to careless handling of fire while intoxicated during the New Year and Christmas holidays.

Education of the population plays a special role in preventing fires and emergencies. For this purpose, the Ministry of Emergency Situations uses various forms and methods of work. In order to prevent fires and accidents resulting from the use of pyrotechnics, from 15.12.2025 to 07.01.2026, the republican preventive campaign "Safe New Year!" will be held. The aim of the campaign is to inform the public about compliance with safety rules when using pyrotechnic products, installing and decorating a Christmas tree.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, young rescuer-firefighters, and other participants, working with a wide range of audiences, will tell and teach how to safely install a Christmas tree, why rescuers do not recommend using pyrotechnics, and how to celebrate the holidays safely.

The organizers of the campaign will congratulate the residents of the district on the upcoming holidays and warn them against accidents resulting from the use of pyrotechnics.
