Autonomous smoke detector – a guarantee of your safety!

A meeting of the district executive committee was held in Miory, where the results of the implementation of the State Program "Belarus Hospitable" and the organization of ideological work in labor collectives were assessed.

As part of the meeting, the head of the Miory District Department for Emergency Situations, Vladimir Rachitsky, took part. He addressed the heads of organizations, outlined the operational situation in the district, and emphasized that a large-scale information campaign among the population on the active use of autonomous fire alarms began on November 24.

– As part of strengthening social guarantees and improving the safety of living conditions for employees of subordinate organizations, I propose to consider the possibility of providing assistance in installing autonomous fire alarms in the households (apartments) of large families of employees, as well as lonely and elderly citizens living alone and disabled individuals who previously worked in subordinate organizations. Conducting the proposed measures will contribute to the formation of a responsible attitude towards one's own safety, reducing the risks of injury and death of people, – noted the head.

– An autonomous fire alarm is a very important device for protecting your home. Last year alone, thanks to the activation of this device in the Republic, the lives of 93 people were saved, including 21 children, – argued Vladimir Rachitsky.

At the end of his speech, he reminded everyone present that an autonomous fire alarm is a guarantee of peace and well-being.

It is equipped with sensors that instantly react to smoke. In case of fire, the alarm emits a loud sound signal that can wake even a sleeping person, – emphasized Vyacheslav Basharimov.

- It is these compact devices that become the first barrier against smoke, ensuring early detection of fire and providing precious minutes for evacuation, – noted the Ministry of Emergency Situations inspector, emphasizing that modern alarms are simple to install, do not require complex maintenance, and can operate autonomously for a long time.
