To enhance the level of safety culture among the population and prevent fires in the district, employees of the Miory District Department for Emergency Situations conduct preventive work.

Rescuers, together with representatives of other preventive entities, visit the households of lonely and single elderly citizens. During the visits, they examine the condition of stoves and check the operability of fire alarms. Residents are given explanations and recommendations on improving the fire safety level of their homes.

During meetings with work collectives, EMERCOM employees reminded attendees of the basic rules for safe use of stove heating, explained in detail how to properly heat a stove to avoid overheating and ignition, and emphasized the importance of turning off all electrical appliances before leaving home.

Special attention was paid to the causes of fires. EMERCOM employees provided examples of fires and fatalities from fires in the district, which prompted participants to once again reflect on the importance of adhering to safety rules in everyday life.

In addition, rescuers reminded residents of the need to maintain autonomous fire alarms in good working order. Using a practical demonstration, specialists showed how easily such a device can be installed, emphasizing that people of any age can handle this task.
