Raids on reservoirs and waterside recreation areas
To prevent emergencies at water bodies, employees of the Miory District Department for Emergency Situations visited popular fishing spots.
Autumn fishing, as practice shows, can bring not only the joy of a catch but also become a dangerous pastime if safety rules are not followed.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations employees paid special attention to the lakes in the district center and the village of Idolta, as well as the Zapadnaya Dvina River. To prevent accidents, rescuers talked with each fisherman, reminding them that when going to a water body, it is necessary to follow the rules of conduct near water and avoid consuming alcoholic beverages.
During the event, attention was paid to explaining the basic rules of safe behavior at water bodies and algorithms for providing first aid to victims while in the water. Children are warned that it is forbidden to be at a water body without adult supervision. Emergency service numbers and the algorithm of actions in case of an emergency at water were recalled. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees urge all citizens to be attentive and observe safety measures, and also remind everyone that such raids will be carried out systematically, taking into account the operational situation and depending on weather conditions.
And to consolidate the acquired knowledge, everyone was given a reminder on safe behavior on the water.
