Any job is within reach: in Miory, schoolchildren, together with employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, visited elderly citizens

As part of the republican campaign "Youth for Safety," employees of the district emergency situations department, together with activists of the district branch of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Rescuers-Firefighters, held a series of events. Among them was a visit to elderly citizens.

The purpose of the visit was to provide them with feasible assistance in tidying up the adjacent territory and cleaning the household.

Schoolchildren from Povyatskaya Secondary School took part in the campaign. The children gladly joined the work, and with their help, the adjacent territory of lonely citizens became a little cozier and cleaner.

One of the elderly people needed help cleaning the garden plot. The pensioner complained that she could not cope with such a task on her own due to her health condition. The young helpers of the firefighters actively coped with this task in a short period, for which they received words of endless gratitude from the elderly hostess.

Another pensioner received assistance and help with collecting apples. And this work turned out to be within the capabilities of the young firefighters.

During the campaign, the young helpers provided assistance to several pensioners. And in every household, the elderly citizens were endlessly grateful for the help provided.

During the events to assist pensioners, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with representatives of the territorial center, as part of the preventive campaign "Give a Fire Alarm to an Elderly Person," visited this category of citizens and provided assistance in installing autonomous fire alarms.

During the installation, they explained that these useful devices help to promptly detect smoke and thereby warn residents about a fire, preventing tragic consequences, and indicated the need for timely replacement of power elements and cleaning the housings from dust. And to reinforce the information received, they left residents with memos on safe behavior.
