State Fire Supervision informs!
In May, employees of the state fire supervision conducted supervisory activities at the following facilities:
- monitoring of OJSC "Lyubinovo", production unitary enterprise "Miory Meat Processing Plant", branch "Miory KKZ" of open joint-stock company "Polotsk Grain Processing Plant";
- selective inspection of OJSC "Papshuli";
- technical (technological, verification) event at the facility "40-apartment residential building at Verkhnedvinskaya St., 35 in Miory".
During the supervisory activities at the facilities, special attention was paid to compliance with fire safety regulations, the condition of evacuation routes and exits, and the serviceability and operability of fire extinguishing equipment and fire automation systems.
Based on the results of the monitoring and selective inspection, a number of violations were identified concerning the provision and serviceability of primary fire extinguishing means (fire extinguishers) at the facilities and equipment of organizations. Violations were also identified regarding the training of responsible officials on fire safety issues, conducting fire safety briefings with employees, ensuring readiness for the use of external fire water supply, the condition of stove equipment, and the storage of flammable substances and materials.
During the monitoring of the production unitary enterprise "Miory Meat Processing Plant", compliance with the requirements of the legislation by the licensee, Miory ODO of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, was studied in the course of activities related to ensuring fire safety in terms of technical maintenance of fire automation systems. All identified violations were eliminated in the shortest possible time within the framework of the supervisory event. During the monitoring, a targeted briefing was held for representatives of Miory ODO of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and an employee of the production unitary enterprise "Miory Meat Processing Plant" responsible for ensuring the operability and technical maintenance of the facility's fire automation systems. The briefing focused on high-quality, timely technical maintenance, as well as the prompt elimination of malfunctions in the aforementioned systems.
Furthermore, employees of the state fire supervision checked compliance with the requirements for products subject to technical regulation TR EAEU 043/2017 "On requirements for fire safety and fire extinguishing means" at retail outlets: "Master" store (sale of fire extinguishers, linear electrical installation products, fire detectors), "Eurolux" store (sale of linear electrical installation products).
All the specified products, as well as the presented accompanying documents, comply with the applicable requirements.
Employees of the Miory Regional Department for Emergency Situations once again remind about the need for all employees of enterprises and organizations to comply with fire safety requirements. If a fire is detected, it is necessary to notify people who may be in the danger zone, take measures to extinguish the fire, and report the fire to the rescue service.
