In order to ensure safety during the operation of small vessels during the navigation period, vessel owners are obliged to take care of the technical condition of their small vessels in a timely manner and undergo their technical inspection.
On May 22, from 9:00 to 15:00, on the territory of the Miory ROCHS, the state inspector of the Braslav district of GIMS will conduct a technical inspection of small vessels.
For the technical inspection of small vessels, the vessel owner must provide the vessel itself with all the equipment available on it (outboard motor, if any) and a set of equipment provided for by safety requirements (individual life-saving equipment, bilge pumps, anchor and mooring devices, oars, fire protection equipment).
The small vessel presented for technical inspection, its hull, mechanisms and equipment must be clean, with a high-quality paint coating. On the sides of the small vessel, with a contrasting indelible paint, self-adhesive film of a contrasting color or polyvinyl chloride adhesive material (for inflatable vessels), in one line at a distance of one-fourth of the hull length from the stem (bow of the vessel) above the waterline, the registration number must be applied. The height of the letters and numbers of the registration number must be at least 100 mm, the width of the letters and numbers – at least 50 mm, the width of the applied lines – 15 mm, the distance between letters and numbers – 15-20 mm.
