During the Easter holiday, do not forget about safety rules

This year, Belarusians will celebrate the Bright Resurrection of Christ on April 20. Kulichi, which will be carefully baked in every home on the eve, will be an integral part of the Easter holidays, and thousands of candles will be lit on this joyous occasion. To ensure that the bright day is not overshadowed by emergencies, observe safety precautions!

When preparing food and using gas and electric appliances, strictly follow their operating rules.

Do not forget about the danger of lit candles; they should be kept away from clothing and flammable objects. Also, do not leave lit candles unattended.

On the day of the Easter celebration, a large number of people gather in churches. Duty officers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be on duty at the venues of Easter services to ensure fire safety. However, every parishioner must also remember:

when lighting candles from candle holders, tuck in long sleeves of clothing;
hold a piece of paper or a handkerchief under the candle so that hot wax does not get on your skin, and you instinctively do not jerk your hand and drop the burning candle on your clothes;
tie headscarves tightly and tuck away your hair, reducing the risk of candle flame getting on them when you bow your head;
watch your children;
try to maintain a safe distance from other parishioners so that the flame from a neighboring candle does not catch on you;
in case of clothing catching fire, quickly take it off, try to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher, or cover it with a dense material;
familiarize yourself with the layout of the church building to know the evacuation routes, of which there must be several, and all exit doors must be open;
in case of a fire alarm activation and notification of a fire, do not panic, leave the hall quickly but without causing panic or a stampede.

In case of fire, call 101 or 112 immediately.
