Do not leave cooking food unattended!

Cooking at home is one of the daily routines in everyone's life. And even such a daily activity can have tragic consequences if fire safety rules are not observed during cooking.

The reason for food burning on the stove is very often ordinary human negligence. It is enough to leave the food being cooked unattended for a few moments, and the water in the pot will boil away, and the food will burn. Most often, people put a pot on the stove and forget about it: they fall asleep from fatigue or while intoxicated, or leave the house for what seems like a minute, hoping that nothing will happen during this time. But this is not the case!!! And as a consequence: poisoning by the gases formed from burnt food or a serious fire, which can become not only a cause of property loss, but also the death of people and animals.

Remember! The cooking process should only take place under supervision. Do not leave the kitchen and, under no circumstances, go to sleep if you have food cooking on the stove. Also, do not forget to turn off the taps on and before the gas equipment after using gas, and when storing cylinders inside kitchens, additionally close the cylinder valve.

For actions that can lead to a fire, a citizen who forgot food on the stove may be subject to an administrative fine in accordance with Part 7 of Article 24.36 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, up to five basic units.
