The fight against smoking must start from a young age

Minsk Region Ministry of Emergency Situations employees conducted the "Don't Burn Your Life Out" campaign in the district's senior classes to discuss the problem of smoking with future students. They have already met with schoolchildren from Chepukovskaya and Miory city schools.

According to Ministry of Emergency Situations statistics, smoking in bed while intoxicated is the most common cause of death in fires. Even high school students cited examples from their own lives of fires that occurred at their neighbors' due to this reason. Such a lifestyle is unacceptable. This was discussed at the meeting with schoolchildren by employees of the Miory Ministry of Emergency Situations unit.

As part of the safety lesson, schoolchildren were invited to participate in "Quiz 101." The quiz questions were specially selected and relate to the topic of smoking. Theoretical questions were interspersed with practical competitions.

During the lesson, many issues were discussed, but the main one was the harm of smoking, and in particular, smoking in bed as a cause of death. At the end of the event, schoolchildren received gifts from the rescuers.
