“Not watching out for safety? Then we are coming to you…” – Miory rescuers conducted preventive work in residential areas

In the Miory district, rescuers on a regular basis conduct inspections of the housing stock in the district center, both individually and in conjunction with prevention entities. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited private housing and citizens' apartments, and held preventive conversations with residents.

Close attention was also paid to citizens' outbuildings. A large number of fires also occur here.

When visiting homes and communicating with the population, employees of the district department for emergency situations find out the living conditions of people. They answer citizens' questions that fall within the competence of the rescue department, or suggest which organization to contact.

There are also many questions regarding fire safety. Residents are reminded of the need to comply with safety rules, not to leave young children unattended, and to monitor the proper functioning of stove heating.

No less serious problem is the operation of household electrical appliances and wiring with malfunctions. Not only does this threaten electric shock, but it is also another cause of fires. During preventive work, citizens' attention was also focused on this.

In families with children, parents were reminded that they should not leave their little ones unattended under any circumstances. This can be dangerous, first and foremost, for the child themselves. Adults were also urged to teach children safety rules from a very early age.
