Fire prevention is a common cause

As part of the "For Safety Together" campaign, which started this week across the country, and also in order to influence the operational situation with fires and deaths from them, enhanced preventive work is being carried out. Employees of the Miory District Department for Emergency Situations and other prevention entities are conducting raid activities on the residential stock of citizens.

During such events, the town of Miory and the settlements of rural councils are covered. It was possible to get into almost every house and talk to almost every homeowner. During the visit, compliance with safety requirements by household members was checked, and people were instructed on how to prevent fires in their homes and on their property.

One of the main topics of homeowner instruction was the inadmissibility of burning dry vegetation. Across the country, fires occur daily in the spring for this reason. And many of them lead to significant material damage, and sometimes even to fatal outcomes.

In families where children are raised, parents were reminded that leaving children unattended is unacceptable under any circumstances. This can be dangerous, first and foremost, for the child himself. Adults were also urged to teach children safety rules from early childhood.

All villagers were handed instructions-recommendations on maintaining their households in a fire-safe condition.
