Prevention in housing

In order to prevent fires in the district and the loss of life from them, as well as to promptly inform the public on fire safety issues, employees of the Miory District Department for Emergency Situations on a regular basis conduct preventive measures in the households and apartments of citizens living in the district.

It is no secret that a stove is one of the main sources of fires in winter. This is, of course, due to the fact that it is in the winter period that people actively use heating devices for the sake of life-saving temperature inside the premises. And often the devices used by our citizens do not meet the applicable safety requirements. In this regard, attention to the safe operation of stove heating in households, in baths and outbuildings: the condition of chimneys, including in hard-to-reach places (attics, mansard floors), the presence of the main elements of the stove, compliance with safety requirements during firing, and so on is under the close attention of rescuers. All citizens visited were informed about the state of fire safety and instructed on fire safety rules.

No less serious problem is the operation of household electrical appliances and electrical wiring with malfunctions. Not only is this a direct threat to the life and health of residents, but it is also another cause of fires. During preventive work, citizens' attention was also focused on this.

In families with children, parents were reminded that leaving children unattended is unacceptable under any circumstances. This can be dangerous, first of all, for the child himself. And adults were also urged to teach children the rules of safe behavior from early childhood.

All villagers were given instructions and recommendations on maintaining households in a fire-safe condition.
