Miory rescuers conducted a tactical and special exercise at the district hospital
Rescuers of the Miory District Department for Emergency Situations conducted a tactical special exercise at the Miory Central District Hospital to practice the actions of staff and administration in the event of an emergency.
The first minutes after a fire breaks out are the most important. During this time, people inside need to do a lot. But, most importantly, not to panic. Thus, before the arrival of fire crews, hospital staff began to evacuate people to a safe zone.
According to the scenario, a fire occurred in the procedure room of the main building of the district hospital as a result of a short circuit in the electrical wiring. There was a threat to the life and health of people, and the spread of fire to adjacent rooms.
The study of the layout and familiarization with this facility was carried out by the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees together with the chief physician Sive Elena.
As is known, the work of rescuers requires constant improvement of skills and abilities in eliminating a particular emergency situation. Therefore, each unit of the rescue service, even during tactical special exercises, requires knowledge of the operational and tactical characteristics of the facility, and the adoption of prompt and correct decisions in extreme situations.
When the exercises came to an end, the hospital staff, together with the rescuers, summed up the results of the tactical special exercise.
