The fire claimed a life

             On November 9, at 20:40, the Central Operations Duty Unit of the Miory District Department for Emergency Situations received a report of a fire in a residential building in the village of Otsy, Povyatsky Village Council, Miory District. Upon arrival of rescuers, open burning was observed. As a result of the fire, the roof and ceiling were destroyed, and the walls and property were damaged.

During the firefighting, the body of the owner, a pensioner born in 1938, was discovered in the house. The cause of the fire is being established.

            The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds of the unconditional observance of fire safety rules, proper operation of stove heating, and installation of fire detection and alarm devices.
