Miory. Water safety

This weekend, the Miory district was hit by high temperatures. Fleeing the heat, people flocked to the bodies of water. This situation is a significant reason for closer attention to the organization of recreation on the water.

Water is not as safe as it may seem at first glance; it regularly and mercilessly claims human lives. The Miory rescuers paid close attention not only to officially designated swimming areas but also to those where swimming is strictly prohibited.

EMERCOM employees, together with OSVOD and ROVD officers, continue to visit the district's water bodies for the purpose of prevention and averting water-related accidents.

During the raid, explanatory preventive work is carried out with vacationers on observing the rules of conduct at water bodies and preventing accidents. Special attention was paid to the inadmissibility of being near water bodies and swimming while intoxicated, as well as the presence of children at water bodies without adult supervision.

Rescuers reinforced preventive conversations with informational memos and brochures on observing safety rules, reminding that in case of needing assistance, immediately call 101 or 112.
