Comprehensive exercises on population protection by the MES forces have concluded in Miory

Comprehensive exercises on the protection of the population of the Miory district from natural and man-made emergencies have concluded.

For three days, comprehensive exercises were conducted with the forces and means of the state system for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and civil defense.

On the second day, practical scenarios were worked out involving trees falling onto the road due to strong wind gusts, the liquidation of a building collapse with the practical deployment of a casualty sorting point, the evacuation and temporary resettlement of people with the practical deployment of a temporary reception point for temporarily resettled populations, the liquidation of the consequences of a road traffic accident involving a tanker truck and a truck, and the liquidation of an accident involving hazardous chemicals.

On the final day of the exercises, practical tasks were carried out to disseminate information through the district's mass media regarding population actions upon receiving the "ATTENTION EVERYONE" signal, actions in case of bird deaths and human infection with bird flu, and the deployment of a personal protective equipment distribution point.

All district services demonstrated coordinated work. The Head of the Organizational Support Department of the Regional Emergency Situations and Civil Defense Department, Vyacheslav Vasilyevich Kabachevsky, noted that the conducted exercises allowed for a full assessment of the district's readiness level to perform tasks for the protection of the population and territory, and to act in case of emergencies.

The Chairman of the Miory District Executive Committee thanked the exercise participants for their high-quality preparation and coordinated actions, expressing confidence that in the event of an emergency, all services will work efficiently and professionally, which will save human lives and prevent material damage.
