Comprehensive exercises on population protection are being held in Miory by the MES forces

From July 26 to 28, comprehensive exercises on the protection of the district population from natural and man-made emergencies are being held in the town of Miory and the Miory district.

During the exercise, the actions of management bodies will be practiced in extinguishing forest fires, collapse of buildings and structures, radiation accident, accident at a chemically hazardous facility, liquidation of road traffic accidents involving heavy trucks, and liquidation of fires at an electrical substation. Issues of rescuing people, providing medical assistance to victims of emergencies, temporary resettlement of the population from emergency zones, and carrying out emergency rescue operations will also be practiced.

The automated system of centralized notification will be involved in the exercises.

On the first day, practical scenarios were practiced for extinguishing an electrical substation in the town of Miory with the spill and burning of 2 tons of transport oil, including the rescue of a victim, as well as the actions of the Miory district unit in case of a radiation accident with the practical deployment of a distribution point for medicines containing stable iodine.
