A gift to the city from rescuers

A new bus stop has been opened in Miory. Local rescuers and district authorities made a gift to the city and its residents.

At the entrance to the district center, a bus stop now stands proudly. Its benches are designed in the shape of the numbers 112, which is the unified rescue service number.

Vitaly Ganin, head of the Miory District Department for Emergency Situations, notes:

- This bus stop is a gift to the residents of Miory and the district. The district authorities provided materials for its construction, and welding, painting, and other work were carried out by employees of the District Department for Emergency Situations.

The installation site was also agreed upon with local authorities – it is the "youngest" part of the city, where the construction of apartment buildings is actively underway and which is inhabited by a large number of children. In addition, this location is in high demand among the population, as children wait for the school bus at this stop during school hours.

Representatives of the district executive committee, the district department for emergency situations, as well as city residents, most of whom were children, attended the opening of the bus stop. They had noticed the new facility near their homes for a long time and had even managed to take individual photos at the stop.

It is also worth noting the name of the bus stop – "Help is Nearby." Out of about ten different proposed names, the most concise and suitable option was chosen. The name of the bus stop both directly and indirectly indicates that the District Department for Emergency Situations is located nearby, and also that in case of danger, it is only necessary to dial 112 and help will arrive at any time of day or night, in any weather.
