Reminding about safety rules never hurts

Currently, the work of the public law and order protection point is aimed at preventing and deterring offenses and crimes committed by the population.

Employees of the Miory Emergency Situations Unit participated in a meeting of the district public law and order protection point together with the district police inspector, representatives of education, the prosecutor of the Miory district, and a medical worker. For the purpose of prevention, a conversation was held with citizens who have a number of administrative offenses and misconducts.

The district prosecutor noted that stricter measures should be applied to citizens who abuse alcoholic beverages. If there are grounds, administrative liability measures should be applied to them, and work should be carried out to send such citizens to a treatment and labor prophylaxis facility. The medical worker, in turn, drew attention to the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Rescuers pointed out that the largest number of fires occur due to careless handling of fire, and the majority occur while intoxicated. Socially vulnerable citizens are at risk: pensioners, as well as people leading an antisocial lifestyle. Smoking and alcohol abuse are harmful habits individually, but together they destroy the health and lives of our citizens.

To prevent deaths from fire, there is a small but useful device – an autonomous fire alarm. Rescuers recommend installing them in every living room to increase the chances of survival. Citizens who install them must ensure that the power element is in good working order.

At the end of the meeting, citizens were presented with small but useful gifts in the form of visual materials on fire safety.
