Excursion to the fire station

With the aim of preventing fires due to children's mischief with fire, child deaths at water bodies, as well as conducting preventive work in the field of life safety, Miory rescuers conducted excursions for children from schools in the district and the city.

An excursion to the fire station is not just a holiday or a game, but a fascinating introduction to the daily work of rescuers. There is probably not a single child who would not be interested in the profession of a rescuer.

As part of the republican campaign "Holidays without smoke and fire," schoolchildren from the city and district who attend health camps visited the emergency rescue unit No. 1 in Miory.

Rescuers showed the children fire equipment and gear, explained how to use it, and demonstrated in practice the combat work of extinguishing a simulated fire and rescuing a victim. Children were able to feel like real firefighters by trying on combat uniforms and sitting in the cabin of a fire truck. During the excursion, rescuers told the children about the basic rules of safe behavior and reminded them of emergency service phone numbers. The children listened with great interest and asked questions.

The excursion concluded with a cool shower from the vehicle's combat hose. The children were delighted and received a boost of great mood for the whole day.
