The Miory District was visited by the Deputy Head of the Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations
During a visit to the Miory district, the Deputy Head of the institution "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations", Sergey Markevich, met with the staff of LLC "Metalloprokatnaya Company" and rescuers from the district department for emergency situations.
In a conversation with citizens, the head outlined the most common causes of fire emergencies. Careless handling of fire while smoking, often while intoxicated, remains the undisputed leader in fire incidents. Sergey Nikolaevich gave practical examples of how a bad habit can cost not only one person their life but also the lives of an entire family.
The Deputy Head also addressed the issue of children's mischief with fire. Sergey Nikolaevich mentioned that summer holidays are approaching and leaving children unsupervised is unacceptable. After all, the most terrible punishment for this is to lose a beloved child forever.
Sergey Nikolaevich also reminded attendees about fire safety rules at facilities and the proper use of primary fire extinguishing equipment. At the end of his speech, the guest from Vitebsk distributed safety guidelines to those present.
During the meeting with the personnel of the district department, Sergey Markevich emphasized the important role of each employee in the unit's work. He highlighted, in connection with the current situation in the country and abroad, the combat readiness of the units and the fulfillment of assigned tasks at any time of day and in any weather conditions. He also addressed issues of discipline and legality in the performance of official duties, and the maintenance of the honor and dignity of employees of emergency services and departments.
