Every year on April 1, International Bird Day is celebrated - an international ecological holiday

Its goal is to preserve the species diversity and population of birds.

As part of this campaign, by the efforts of the State Nature Reserve "Yelnya", the Department of Education of the District Executive Committee, the State Forestry Institution "Disna Forestry", and the Miory District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, 312 titmouse houses and feeders, 9 owl houses, and 52 starling houses were installed in the territory of the Miory District in March 2023.
