President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated employees and veterans of the energy sector on their professional holiday – Energy Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The country's fuel and energy complex is one of the key sectors of the national economy, ensuring stable operations of domestic enterprises and the functioning of social sector facilities," the congratulatory message states. "Modern, reliable, and dynamic enterprises of the power system create highly productive jobs and play an important role in the development of cities and regions."
The Head of State noted that the launch of two units at the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant has strengthened the republic's energy potential like never before. "The decision to construct the third unit was a timely and important step on the path to further development of Belarus and strengthening its sovereignty," the President stated.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that all achievements of the sector, unique experience, and competencies are the result of the daily work of a large and united team.
"I am convinced that your professionalism, accumulated knowledge and skills, as well as long-standing labor traditions will serve as a guarantee for effectively addressing the tasks set before you," the Belarusian leader emphasized.
The President wished all employees and veterans of the sector health, happiness, boundless energy, new professional accomplishments, and a peaceful sky overhead.
