Miory Regional Executive Committee
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has congratulated employees and veterans of the emergency situations bodies and subdivisions on their professional holiday – Fire Service Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"This is a day of honoring courageous, brave, and strong individuals – all those who wage an uncompromising struggle against dangerous natural forces, eliminate the consequences of emergencies, protect citizens and their property, economic facilities, and natural wealth over many decades," the congratulatory message states.
The President emphasized that Belarusians are proud of the feats of firefighters, who in the first days of the Great Patriotic War accepted the challenge of the deadly fire of enemy aviation: "Under a hail of incendiary and fragmentation bombs, without air defense cover, combat crews of city fire brigades pulled the wounded from under the rubble, tirelessly fought against sources of fire. Many died fulfilling their official duty, defending their Fatherland from German-Fascist invaders with weapons in hand."
"The traditions of selfless service to the country and the people established by our heroes are continued by the current generation of employees of the emergency situations bodies and subdivisions, working to prevent fire hazard situations, responding promptly and professionally to calls, and saving people's lives," Alexander Lukashenko noted.
The Head of State wished everyone robust health, prosperity, happiness, peace, and kindness, as well as further success in their dangerous and courageous service.
Lukashenko's congratulation to employees and veterans on Fire Service Day
To the employees and veterans of the emergency situations bodies and subdivisions of the Republic of Belarus
Dear comrades!
I congratulate you on your professional holiday – Fire Service Day.
This is a day of honoring courageous, brave, and strong individuals – all those who wage an uncompromising struggle against dangerous natural forces, eliminate the consequences of emergencies, protect citizens and their property, economic facilities, and natural wealth over many decades.
We are proud of the heroic deeds of Belarusian firefighters who accepted the challenge of the deadly fire of enemy aircraft in the first days of the Great Patriotic War. Under a hail of incendiary and high-explosive bombs, without air defense cover, the operational crews of city fire brigades pulled the wounded from under the rubble and tirelessly fought against fire outbreaks. Many died fulfilling their service duty, defending their Fatherland from Nazi invaders with weapons in hand.
The traditions of selfless service to the country and people laid down by our heroes are continued by the present generation of employees of emergency situations authorities and units, working to prevent fire hazards, responding promptly and professionally to calls, and saving human lives.
I wish everyone robust health, prosperity, happiness, peace, and goodwill. Wishing you further success in your dangerous and courageous service. Take care of yourselves and our native Belarus.
Alexander Lukashenko,
July 25, 2025.
