The "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival is an island of spiritual unity, warmth, and light. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on July 10 at the grand opening ceremony of the XXXIV International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk," as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
Opening the festival, Alexander Lukashenko said that first and foremost, he would like to address Belarusians, Russians, and Ukrainians – the peoples thanks to whom the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" was created and continues to exist.

"Dear guests, I hold you in special regard and address you directly: without you, the 'Slavianski Bazaar' would be impoverished," the President stated.
The Head of State noted that the fanfares of the "Slavianski Bazaar" are once again sounding solemnly under the arches of the Vitebsk amphitheater – a festival that is always eagerly awaited by Belarusians, the people of Vitebsk themselves, artists, and their fans from various countries.
"Our 'Slavianski Bazaar' is a whole world of vivid emotions and unforgettable impressions. Here, each time, we meet renowned artists and true masters of their craft. Here, year after year, new stars are ignited, as we like to say. In the most diverse genres: from music and dance to theatrical productions and artistic projects. In the most diverse styles: from folk art and classics to avant-garde trends of contemporary art," said Alexander Lukashenko.
The President noted that the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" has long gone beyond the framework of Slavic brotherhood, and the cultural capital of Belarus has become a creative home for many artists.
"This is what we wished for when we first opened the festival. But most importantly, for over thirty years now, our festival has been an island of spiritual unity, warmth, and light. Despite all cataclysms. You must agree, this is priceless today," the Belarusian leader emphasized.
