New joint projects have been identified during talks in Minsk with Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this following the talks in Minsk with his Zimbabwean counterpart, BELTA correspondent reports.

The Head of State noted that the parties held very intensive and productive talks. "Our specialists and ministers worked very effectively beforehand. They discussed a wide range of issues, reviewed the implementation of already reached agreements (including those made during the visit to Zimbabwe two years ago). New joint projects were identified. At the same time, special attention was paid to the development of promising areas, including interregional cooperation and industrial collaboration," Alexander Lukashenko said.

A package of bilateral documents has been signed. It is based on a roadmap for 2026-2030, which takes into account all key joint projects in various fields.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that significant results were achieved during Emmerson Mnangagwa's visit to Belarus. This was preceded by extensive work by the governments, competent ministries, regional authorities, and companies.
"But I want to express sincere gratitude specifically to you for your significant personal contribution to the development of strategic relations of friendship and brotherhood between the peoples of Belarus and Zimbabwe. I am convinced that with such support we will further actively increase trade turnover, create joint promising enterprises, and open up new markets both in Africa and in Eurasia," the Belarusian leader emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko invited the President of Zimbabwe and his wife, Oxilia Mnangagwa, to visit Belarus again. He assured that the Zimbabwean leader would feel not just at home, but truly at home – on Belarusian soil. "I am very grateful to you for everything you have done. I acknowledge that there would not be such a level of understanding and relations between Zimbabwe and Belarus if it were not for you. It was you who, when serving as Vice President, visited our country and proposed building our relations. That is where it all began," the President of Belarus added.
