President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the personnel and veterans of the State Security Committee on their professional holiday - State Security Officer's Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"From the very first days of the special service's creation, the Chekists have been at the forefront of defending the state, upholding its sovereignty and independence, showing exceptional resilience, determination, and courage in the fight against the enemy, setting an example of true patriotism," the congratulatory message reads.
Continuing the glorious traditions of the Belarusian special service, KGB officers are now fighting on a front hidden from people's eyes, in the face of new hybrid threats to national security, unprecedented in scale, the head of state emphasized. "The results of your work contribute to making crucial political decisions, largely determining the future of the Motherland, and therefore, the destinies of millions of citizens," the President stated.
Alexander Lukashenko thanked everyone for their high professionalism, impeccable work ethic, and complete dedication. "I am convinced that, responding to the challenges of the time, you will do everything to strengthen the country's position in the changing world order, preserving peace and stability on our native land," the Belarusian leader noted.
The head of state addressed special words of gratitude to the veterans of the state security agencies, to all who made an invaluable contribution to the achievement of the Great Victory, to those who preserved and passed on the best traditions, shaping the modern image of the special service.
The President wished the staff and veterans of the KGB happiness and well-being, health and optimism, new successes and achievements in the name of Belarus.
