Speaking about attempts to destabilize the situation in Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko noted that, as some say, "they are preparing for it there by 2030, and this year…". "It is clear that they may say one thing while taking other measures, - the head of state remarked. - They are already developing plans on how to act. However, the primary source of tension is created outside the country. They cannot determine what tactics to adopt themselves. I believe they will receive advice. There are many sensible individuals around them. And funding will be provided for this."
"But they must understand that the time for mere rhetoric in the media has passed. They are aware of this. Therefore, they are also prepared for radical actions. This means we too must be ready to take adequate countermeasures, - the Belarusian leader added. - Everyone must understand that over these years we have become quite experienced and realize that power is not given away lightly. On assisting the CEC without interfering in elections
Alexander Lukashenko noted that during the election period, the head of the Central Election Commission is always the key operative figure, and he requires the necessary assistance and support.
"I ask you to follow his lead. Whatever he requests, we must assist. But where intervention is unnecessary, we should not act prematurely. There is no need for that. In practice, this will result in fewer accusations against us for interfering in certain elections," Alexander Lukashenko said.
On the upcoming five-year period, which will be challenging
"Our society appears to be united. The economy is demonstrating solid results. But I must inform you that the coming five-year period will be challenging. A challenging five-year period. And perhaps even next year. I always strive to shield society from discussions regarding sanctions. But nobody has lifted them," the head of state said.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that Russia was subjected to stricter sanctions, along with Belarus, to prevent it from circumventing sanction restrictions via Russia. "Naturally, these sanctions affect the economy in one way or another. Yes, we have organized logistics and primarily identified supply routes for our goods, among other things. However, the cost of these logistical deliveries has increased, among other factors. Consequently, enterprises would be significantly wealthier had these obstacles not existed. But we will also find appropriate ways out of this situation," the President stated.
The primary focus, he emphasized, is internal organization. Alexander Lukashenko discussed this matter with Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, during his visit to the Grodno Region. At the same time, the Head of State reminded that it should not be forgotten that this is the best region, while comparable issues are magnified ("in square") in others, especially in the eastern regions. "This too must be given proper attention," the Belarusian leader insists.
