The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, congratulated the staff and veterans of JSC "BMZ - Management Company of the BMK Holding" on the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the head of state.

"It was in your furnaces that the first metal was smelted, marking the beginning of the history of domestic metallurgy," the congratulatory message states. "Planned as a mini-plant, BMZ grew and developed together with the country, preserved its unique workforce in the 1990s with state support, and today is an industrial giant, a leader of the industry, and one of the most well-known brands of Belarus."

The foundation of these production achievements of BMZ is the experience and highest competencies of several generations of metallurgists, the head of state noted. "You are mastering new technologies and modern equipment, expanding the range of manufactured products, finding sales markets, and bringing the republic billions of dollars in export revenue," the Belarusian leader pointed out.

Special words of gratitude were addressed by the President to the veterans: "Having come from different corners of the Soviet Union, you became a single cohesive team that managed to set up production in the shortest possible time and establish wonderful traditions."

"I am convinced that thanks to your professionalism and expertise, all set tasks will continue to be successfully accomplished in the interests of dynamic development of the industry and economic growth of our country," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

The head of state wished the staff and veterans of BMZ good health, happiness, prosperity, and new labor achievements.
