President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko appointed concurrent ambassadors to five countries in Africa and Asia, a BELTA correspondent reports.

Igor Marshalov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Zambia concurrently. Mikhail Kasko was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka concurrently. Roman Romanovsky was appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) concurrently. In addition, the appointment of Viktor Podskrebkine as Head of the Department of Economy and Sectoral Programs of the Standing Committee of the Union State has been approved.
