Приняты меры для развития дистанционных финансовых услуг в Беларуси

Measures have been taken to develop remote financial services in Belarus

On February 19, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 64, which creates additional conditions for the further development and improvement of remote financial services. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.

In particular, the document expands the range of legal entities that have the right to carry out remote identification of clients and due diligence of their data using the interbank identification system.

To enhance the security and quality of the services provided, the requirements for conducting remote identification, including when using biometric personal data, are detailed.

The specified measures create conditions for further expanding the range of remote financial services and increasing their convenience for users. For example, with the help of a single mobile application, it will be possible to use accounts or bank payment cards of different banks without going through the authentication procedure for each of them. Obtaining a bank loan for the purchase of goods in retail organizations will also become more convenient and faster.

In addition, the possibilities of using ID cards will be significantly expanded. Their owners will be able to remotely receive financial services from any financial organization without visiting a bank or payment service provider, pay for any administrative procedures, and make other payments that require data verification.
