Лукашенко совместно с молодежью заложил Аллею поколений у Дворца Независимости

Lukashenko, together with youth, planted the Alley of Generations near the Independence Palace.

Representatives of Belarus's youth leadership, together with the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko, laid the Alley of Generations on the grounds of the Palace of Independence, a BELTA correspondent reports.

The ceremony was held following the President's meeting with Belarusian youth and veterans of the Komsomol movement. The event carried special symbolic significance, taking place on the eve of the 105th anniversary of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (Komsomol) and on the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Palace of Independence.

Prior to jointly participating with the Head of State in the laying of the symbolic Alley of Generations, the meeting attendees noted that tree planting has become a cherished tradition in the country: family tree avenues are being established, "Gardens of Hope" are created, and Forest Weeks are held. Highlighting the President's particular regard for nature and labor, they asked which tree was the first one planted by Alexander Lukashenko. According to the Head of State, he has planted so many trees that it is now difficult to recall exactly which sapling was the first. This is especially true given that in the rural area where he was born and raised, such work is a routine daily activity that does not attract special attention. Furthermore, in his capacity as Head of State, Alexander Lukashenko regularly takes part in tree-planting events, including alongside his sons.

At the President's initiative, the area surrounding the Palace of Independence is also rich in green spaces, including a newly established apple orchard. Numerous trees, some over several decades old, were preserved during the palace's construction, which was one of the Head of State's strict requirements.
