Lukashenko shared details of recent talks with Putin in Sochi
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko shared details of his recent negotiations with President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Sochi during a meeting with the Governor of Krasnodar Krai of Russia Veniamin Kondratyev, reports a BELTA correspondent.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus is currently paying serious attention to the defense complex as well, prompted by recent developments in the region and worldwide. "My elder brother (referring to the recent talks between the Presidents of Belarus and Russia in Sochi. - BELTA note) and I have agreed on how we will act in Belarus. Naturally, we do not disclose this publicly. Our most recent negotiations on your territory were dedicated to defense and security," the Head of State said.
In this connection, he underscored the importance of coordinated actions to mitigate the risk of escalating challenges and threats: "Ukraine is merely the beginning, just the flowers. The berries may await us ahead if we do not mobilize and show them that they will not get away with little. Poland, backed by the United States, causes us, as well as Russia, the greatest concern. They have resolved to dismantle everything in place, primarily the European Union. Poland serves as their key strategic foothold. In 2020, they intended to incorporate us into that sphere to position us as a dividing line between Russia, the East, and the West. That plan failed. Consequently, we are currently devoting immense attention to defense matters."
