President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the workers and veterans of the metallurgical industry on their professional holiday - Metallurgist's Day.

The head of state emphasized that the metallurgical industry plays one of the key roles in the development of the national economy: it forms a solid foundation for the industrial complex, ensures the uninterrupted operation of almost all sectors of the national economy.
The professional holiday unites almost 20,000 professionals who have dedicated themselves to a complex task that requires extreme responsibility, deep knowledge, and special, fiery skill, the President noted.
"At the present moment, metallurgists are with dignity going through a difficult stage of overcoming external challenges and are doing everything to ensure that their products are in demand both within the country and abroad. As a result, steel production has increased by a quarter this year, and exports - by a third," the congratulation reads. "I am convinced that you will continue to work with full dedication for the prosperity of your native Belarus."
Alexander Lukashenko wished all workers and veterans of the industry good health, inexhaustible energy, happiness, peace, and well-being.
